With GesundPlus, we support your health in specific areas where you take the initiative yourself: We reimburse you up to €100 annually for selected out-of-pocket health services—from dental treatments to alternative therapies.

Preventive Medical Examinations
- Skin cancer screening, including reflected-light microscopy (annually, ages 18 and older)
- Health checkup (ages 18 to 34)
- Breast palpation examination by qualified blind and visually impaired examiners (MTU) in cases of medically confirmed risk (ages 18 and older; see “Good to Know” for details)
- Breast ultrasound in cases of existing risk factors (ages 18 and older)
- New starting in 2026: Ultrasound examination of the uterus and/or ovaries if risk factors are present (ages 18 and older)
- New starting in 2026: Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test (ages 44 and older; see “Good to Know” for details)
- Bone density measurement if osteoporosis is suspected (ages 55 and older; see “Good to Know” for details)
- Colorectal cancer screening (ages 30–70, for those at risk due to a family history of colorectal cancer—see “Good to Know” for details)
- Antibody test (titer determination; ages 18 and older)
- Glaucoma screening if risk factors are present
- Optical coherence tomography (OCT) when medically necessary
Here's How the Refund Works
To receive reimbursement, you must submit itemized invoices from medical and dental service providers and, if applicable, medical or dental prescriptions or certificates attesting to the medical necessity.
To apply for these benefits, simply use our online service portal, the ZF BKK Service App, or send your documents to us by mail. We will review them and reimburse you up to €100 per calendar year.
Good to Know
Sports Medicine Examination
- Reimbursement is possible if existing risk factors indicate a decline in health or an impending illness, or if the worsening of an existing condition can be prevented.
- Please contact us first for a detailed consultation.
Preventive Medical Examination
- As part of the GesundPlus plan, we reimburse the above-mentioned preventive checkups for insured individuals aged 18 and older.
For insured individuals under 18 years of age: The prescription must be issued by an ophthalmologist. The eyeglasses or contact lenses must be purchased from an optician or through an authorized mail-order company.
For insured individuals 18 years of age and older: Eligibility requires a severe visual impairment or a corresponding prescription for significant refractive error (more than 6 diopters for myopia or hyperopia, more than 4 diopters for astigmatism).
- Insured individuals aged 44 and older are eligible upon submission of a medical bill for the
- PSA test
- The medical consultation prior to the test
- The medical evaluation of the test results.
- The necessity of individual counseling prior to the test and the risk-adapted administration and repeat of the PSA test in accordance with the recommendations of the S3 guideline on prostate cancer must be documented in an appropriate manner, e.g., through a medical certificate or notes on the medical invoice.
We can reimburse the cost of light therapy if:
- the light therapy is medically necessary for the treatment of seasonal affective disorder (winter depression),
- a private prescription from a specialist in psychotherapy or neurology is provided, indicating “seasonal affective disorder,”
- a CE-certified device with a light intensity of 2,500 to less than 10,000 lux is used, and
- a recurrent depressive disorder with a seasonal pattern (ICD-10-GM F33.0 or F33.1) has been diagnosed by a specialist in at least two consecutive winters.
